The owner, Leslie Simmons, was born and raised in Rydal, Georgia.\u00a0 After graduating from Cartersville High School, she left home for Georgia Tech. She graduated in 1995 with a Bachelors in Chemistry.\u00a0 She worked for a pharmaceutical company and for a hazardous waste disposal company.\u00a0 In 2000, Leslie graduated with a JD from Georgia State.\u00a0 That same year she married Robby Simmons.\u00a0 Leslie and Robby now lease her family\u2019s farm in Rydal.\u00a0 Robby runs a background operation and a cow\/calf operation.\u00a0 Robby discovered the necessity to BVD-PI test through his work as a backgrounder.\u00a0 With her Chemistry degree and lab experience, it was a natural fit for Leslie to begin testing BVD-PI samples and Southeast Animal Labs Information was born.<\/p>\n
Leslie began testing BVD-PI samples for the public in September of 2009 using the IDEXX BVD-PI ELISA test.\u00a0 Not long after, Leslie expanded to offer a blood based pregnancy test for cattle.\u00a0 It is this pregnancy test that is most requested by customers.\u00a0 Because of her interest in animal reproductive health, Leslie began offering other tests to customers to ensure cattlemen can maintain the most cost effective and efficient operation.<\/p>\n
